Legal Services
Arlanson Law Offices provides counseling and legal representation to individuals, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations including services for the following purposes:
- Complete individual and family lifetime and estate planning, and
wealth preservation, including business planning, counseling, preparation and drafting of Living and Testamentary Trusts, Health Care Directives, funding of Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and advice and representation regarding all facets of estate planning, including
tax and life-time planning to include elder law matters,
business continuation planning and charitable planning;
- Probate proceedings including the settlement of estates,
guardianships, conservatorships and adoptions, and related proceedings regarding probate and estate settlements, and trust settlement administration;
- The formation of non-profit charitable
organizations and foundations, 501(c)(3) status;
- The advice and representation in real estate sales, real estate conveyancing, purchases, leases, mortgages, title examinations and title insurance, often in conjunction with estate planning or otherwise;
- The formation and maintenance of corporations and partnerships; the preparation and review of
contracts and closing documents for selling and purchasing businesses and business law.
Philosophy
Clients are best served by the prevention of legal problems through careful and thorough advice given prior to their finalizing plans or entering into transactions and business arrangements. Emphasis is given to counseling clients in understanding the full range of planning opportunities so the client may best choose the option appropriate under client circumstance. When a legal problem does arise, clients will be assisted in finding the most practical and cost effective solution. A client is best served when informed of the legal options available to make informed decisions.
Standards of Practice
Work is done quickly and skillfully. If unfamiliar or unskilled in a particular area of law, the client may be referred to an attorney who is familiar with or skilled in such matters. In any situation, the goal of this office is to see that clients receive the highest quality legal services at a reasonable fee.
Fees and Costs
This office strives to provide quality service for a fair fee. Time is the "stock in trade" of any attorney, so fees are often based on the amount of time spent. Sometimes the fee may be partly determined also by the complexity of the matter handled, the skill required to complete same, the results obtained and similar factors. Often, a flat fee for specific matters will be considered appropriate. Clients must agree on and be comfortable with the fee arrangements before legal services may be commenced. |
